Parents of band students here are some upcoming important dates.
The Competition on Saturday October 27th has been Cancelled due to the fires in Southern California. Next Stop, Las Vegas!!!
Here is the information on the Vegas trip!!
Remember: Instrument, uniforms, change of clothes for Saturday/Sunday
7:15am report to school, band room opens
7:30am full-band meeting in band room
8:00am report to busses, load truck
8:30am leave Colton HS (lunch at rest stop)
2:00pm arrive in Las Vegas, go to UNLV for band practice
3:00pm report to busses, go to Motel 6 to check in
4:00pm meet at busses, go to Circus, Circus for dinner
5:00pm dinner at Circus, Circus and Adventuredome
9:00pm meet in lobby at bottom of escalators
9:30pm report to busses, return to Motel 6
10:00pm room check by band parent chaperones
Saturday Nov 3
7:00am wake-up call to all rooms
7:30am-8:30am Continental breakfast at hotel Motel

8:45am report to busses in band shirts, go to Las Vegas High School
bring
complete uniform, change of clothes, and money for snacks/souvenirs
9:30am arrive at Las Vegas High School, line
up, go to stadium
9:45am -11:15am watch (6) bands (we all need to be in the stadium)
leave after watching West

11:15am report to the busses
11:30am DRESS IN FULL UNIFORM (plumes and gloves)
remember silent zone in the bus area
12:15pm official warm-up 30 minutes (area B)
1:00pm travel time from warm-up to staging
1:10pm staging area
1:15pm PERFORMANCE class AA (Arbor View, Spring Valley, Shadow Ridge,
Durango, Clark, Spanish Fork, Alta Loma, Colton)
after performance we will sit in the stands in full uniform
for awards
1:45 pm AWARDS for class A and AA
2:00pm return to the busses, change to band shirts.
2:15pm pizza lunch at the busses (band students and 24 official chaperones only)
3:00 pm- line up
at the buses. Wear band shirts.
3:15pm-5:45pm watch afternoon bands
6:00pm return to the busses, go to Circus, Circus
7:00pm-9:30pm spend time at Circus, Circus, meet in lobby at bottom of escalators
9:45pm report to busses, return to Motel 6
10:30pm room check by band parent chaperones
Sunday Nov 4
7:30am wake-up call to all rooms
8:00am-9:00am Continental breakfast at hotel Motel

9:15am room checks, report to busses
9:30am leave Motel 6, go to Buffalo Bills (state line)
10:30am arrive at Buffalo Bills (roller coaster/arcade)
12:30pm report to bridge in Buffalo Bills, load busses
12:45pm leave Stateline, go to Colton
4:00pm arrive at Colton H.S.
Baggage one suitcase, one carry on
Equipment instruments, uniforms, flags, shoes/socks, gloves
Clothing clothes for three days (bring warm jacket)
$200 student cost / $100 official parent chaperone cost includes;

parent chaperones are on bus/truck/hotel with the students
